Why would anyone need a Cosmetic Tattoo?
Permanent cosmetics are ideal for people who have;
- Faded or thinning and sparse eyebrows,
- Impaired eyesight or unsteady hands,
- Active lifestyles,
- Permanent hair loss,
- Allergies or sensitivities to traditional cosmetics,
- Eyebrow and eyelash loss due to alopecia,
- Had breast cancer reconstruction or other breast surgeries and wish to recreate the areola.
What are Cosmetic Tattoos?
Cosmetic Tattoos, permanent make-up, permanent cosmetics, and micropigmentation are all different names for the art of inserting pigment into the skin to accentuate or replicate the body’s natural features for a variety of different reasons. Color pigments specifically formulated for cosmetic use are implanted into the dermal layer of the skin with either manual or electrically powered tools.
Cosmetic tattoos are not a total make-up replacement. Instead, cosmetic tattoos are subtle, beautiful enhancements of your own natural features.
Are Cosmetic Tattoos really permanent?
Because the pigment of cosmetic tattoos heals into the skin and doesn’t wash off, it is considered permanent. Ultra-violet exposure from sun or tanning booths, aftercare, and skin treatments all may affect the permanence of the micropigmentation.
Protection from the sun will greatly prolong the longevity of your cosmetic tattoos. Fading does occur, however, requiring periodic maintenance to keep cosmetic tattoos fresh.
